KTM warranty terms and conditions

 

1. All KTM general agent Anton Trading sells brand-new motorcycles, and they are entitled to 24 (twenty-four) months unlimited mileage original factory warranty from the date of registration.
2. All brand new motorcycle emission control components sold by KTM's general agent Anton Trading are entitled to a 60 (sixty) month or 35,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, and conforms to the vehicles implemented on January 1, 106 in the Republic of China Air pollutant emission standards. Emission control components include oxygen sensor, catalyst, activated carbon canister, crankcase breather valve, electronic control unit (ECU), evaporative emission control valve, secondary air control valve (if equipped), secondary air one-way Valve (if equipped).

 

(1) Under the following conditions, KTM may deny the warranty rights:

 

»The customer has not performed or overdue the overhaul and maintenance specified in the owner's manual, including the situation that the failure occurred before the overdue or overdue overhaul or maintenance;
»Non-KTM authorized dealers/repair stations perform overhaul, maintenance and repair of motorcycles;
»The maintenance or repair work performed on the motorcycle does not comply with KTM's technical requirements, regulations and specifications;
»When performing maintenance or repair work on motorcycles, use parts that are not approved by KTM or use fuel that does not meet the specifications described in the owner’s manual when running the vehicle.
Lubricants or technical fluids (such as detergents);
»Motorcycles can be retrofitted or modified in any way with parts that are not made by KTM's original manufacturer;
»Motorcycles are stored or transported improperly;
»Motorcycles are used in motorcycle sports competitions or to break records in violation of specific purposes.
When the customer proves that the relevant defect is not caused by the stated reason, the above-mentioned warranty exemption clause does not apply. In addition, if this point is confirmed in the KTM dealer online system, the general agent Anton Trading shall not use the unexecuted or overdue inspection or maintenance as the basis for exemption when the owner applies for the warranty.

 

(2) The following parts or conditions are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty:

 

»Wear parts: such as pistons, cylinders, spark plugs, batteries, fuel filters, oil filters, drive chains, pinions, sprockets, air filters, brake discs, brake pads, clutch plates, Light bulbs, fuses, pedal rubber parts, tires, hoses and other rubber parts;
»Oil products (such as engine oil, brake oil, etc.) and technical fluids (such as battery fluid, coolant, etc.);
»Overhaul, adjustment or other periodic maintenance operations and all cleaning operations;
»Paint or corrosion damage caused by external factors, such as stone strikes, snow melting, salt, industrial waste gas or other environmental factors or improper cleaning operations (such as improper use
Appropriate curing agent) and other factors
»All direct or indirect damages, and all direct or indirect losses (such as communications, accommodation, rental vehicles, public transportation, salvage, towing, overnight expenses, etc.) or other economic losses (such as unavailability) caused by damage or warranty conditions Loss of loss, loss of income, loss of time, etc.); all appearance or sound conditions have no or little impact on the use of the vehicle (such as invisible or inconspicuous appearance defects, normal driving noise or vibration);
»Aging conditions (such as spray paint or metal cladding surface fading).

If a motorcycle has a malfunction, please contact the KTM authorized dealer. The warranty application shall be submitted to the general agent Anton Trading through the KTM authorized dealer. This step is performed after the KTM authorized dealer has evaluated and completed the repair work. The general agent Anton Trading Co., Ltd. The company will not directly receive warranty requests from customers. The repair or replacement of defective parts shall be determined by the original KTM manufacturer in accordance with the evaluation. Ownership of the replacement parts under warranty or claim is transferred to KTM. Authorized KTM distributors who are entrusted with troubleshooting are not authorized to issue legal statements in the name of KTM.
If there is any doubt about a defect, or a visual inspection or material inspection is required, KTM has the right to obtain defective parts or entrust KTM experts to detect the failure. For parts that have been replaced during the warranty period, the warranty period ends on the expiration date of the vehicle warranty.
